Adding an Android auto player

Hi guys and happy Easter to everyone !

I decided to add an android player to my Auris rather than replace the original one because the original has the best FM radio reception, amplifier sounds perfectly imho, and it's fascia matches perfectly with the dash...

So I searched an android player that has an aux output and it can be integrated in my central console without altering the dash appearance.

I found this player that connects with the phone in few seconds and has a very good price too.

In addition, it has DVR and ADAS, reverse camera input and a supercapacitor instead of lithium Battery.

The sound can be sent in three ways : built in speaker, aux cord and FM modulator. I choose FM because of the sound sounds perfectly, same volume as FM stations and no noise.

I routed the wires under the dashboard, hidden charger backside of clocks and connected it at mirrors switch where I found an IG+ and a minus 12V.895812032_IMG_20230414_1220198442.thumb.jpg.4fc2133ca1fa04c12d2789468976595c.jpg

My phone stays now in the shade, in glove compartment and fully charged during the long trips instead of staying hot on the dash exposed to sun.

I'm happy with this player so far.

Thank you, Tony !

The only problem that I have to solve is reverse camera, player is not compatible with mine, despite of the fact is AHD. I have to buy dedicated camera for this player and replace mine ...

Yesterday I managed to change rear camera, because the old one was not compatible with new player, so I had to buy a new one from the player seller.IMG_20230702_1854592.thumb.jpg.ae08f31eec48371362eac1b948b6c6b5.jpg

This new one is HD, DVR is filming now front and rear continuously when the engine starts and rear cam has priority when reverse gear is selected.

My old rear vision camera system, Parrot car kit and DVR front camera became redundant, so I dismantled half of dashboard for removing this. With this occasion I routed the wire for aux audio output and connected it with existing USB / AUX interface ...

I'm happy with this product, works great !
