MyT app, where is version code

Hello, I am trying to link my car to the MyT app.

It requires the version code, which it says is a 6 or 7 digit code found on the V5C, but there is no such number on the vacuum or the v5 as far as I can tell.

Ah, on the V5, not the V5C. 

No, that didn't work either when I tried it.

since then, I can no longer get the app to ask me for the version. I might just give up with it, if they make it this difficult,.

Try deleting the app and start again by downloading the MyT app from the app store.

On the page inside the V5C, you'll see going down the left hand side:

Make

Type

Variant 

Version   XXXXXXX-XXXXXX

Its the part in red above which you need to use.

You only need to enter that to see the car's service history. The other features of the app will still work fine even without that code being entered in my experience. Hence for about a week before I actually received my Corolla I was able to connect the app to it and see it being periodically driven round the yard behind the dealer's showroom!

Now I can see the service history (car was 1 year old) and I can see that the hybrid Health check was done at the same time as the service, despite the salesman saying that it wasn't.
