Hi there,

I have a Toyota Aygo year 2007 with a Robotic gear box. When I put it on E and start driving and it will change from 1st to 2nd gear it makes a 'clack' noise. When i give it more gas and more rpm the noise is much softer. On the other gears the passing from one to the other is smooth like it should be, only from 1st to second it does this. Can someone tell me what can it be and what should I do?

many thanks in advance

Hi this is normal for an MMT gearbox. The mk2 Aygo with the X shift similar gearbox is a little smoother but you can still tell the difference between gears 1 and 2

Check the gearbox fluid level - it's basically a manual gearbox - if it's never been done do a change, crack the fill first, then drain it
