I must get one. Of those oil pumps that can take oil out as I ment to get one but didn't

If it's just a small bit over, then I wouldn't worry about it.  If it's well over the second mark, it would be best to take some out either using an oil pump or by opening the sump plug.

Aye must buy one of those oil pumps to have they will be handy .it's like this much over is that bad back side looks more not know why

I wouldn't worry about it being that small bit over.  I've often had my oil slightly above like that too and mechanics told me that it's fine.

If you're really worried I'm sure you can loosen the sump plug a bit and drain a bit out (Into a drain pan!) then tighten it again, but unless you're thrashing it and going up and down steep hills a lot that little bit is very unlikely to make much difference. (And if you are thrashing it the excess will get burnt off pretty quick anyway if it's anything like my old 1.4 D4D  )

As others say if not too much over then it’s ok. Check how much over is and if it’s more than 5mm above better to get some out. You can buy a large syringe and tube and get it done via dipstick, no need to get under the car again. 5mm overflowed equals around 200-300ml of oil in petrol engines. Diesel if Toyota might be similar, if bmw engine don’t know.

When I had a 2012 Avensis 2.2 D-4D the Toyota garage overfilled it to about the same level you've shown and when I queried it with then they said its fine and it was.

For oil I prefer to undo the drain plug you get even less oil out using a syphon pump or a ventura tube and air compressor.

When checking allow for the ground tilt.

If it just a small amount over the max mark when up to temperature then just ignore it.

You can use a small diamiter tube down the dipstick hole and a syringe like one for refilling ink cartriges you dont need to fill the syringe just part of the tubing

I got a cheap electric pump off eBay, thats pretty good, and was only about 15 quid.  Takes ages and needs oil to be warm to work well but it does work.

Takes about 15 minutes to pull 4.5 litres.  I just set it going and have a brew while it does its thing.

I always use the pump off a hand soap bottle with a length of windscreen washer tube fitted.

Takes a wee bit of pumping but relatively easy to draw out half a litre 👍

Just make sure the missus doesn't mix that up with her moisturizer or there'll be hell to pay!
