loss of power in higher gears

Hi, my 05 Rav4 diesel has developed an issue. Works great in town, and most of the time on highway. But lately it has started to intermittently lose power, usually in 5th gear. Press accelerator and nothing. No turbo, no acceleration. I can't feel car revving, or feel turbo. If i pull over and wait a few seconds, take off again, all good, turbo pulling nicely, until it happens again. Yesterday i drove 120 kms, and it happened three or four times. I ended up running at about 3000 rpms in fourth for rest of the trip and it was fine. Any thoughts? Fuel filter? Injectors?

I have a friend who had same issue with a diesel Jetta, and he said it was a sensor issue on the turbo, not fuel or injectors. I am booked in to garage next week.

Hi , have exactly the same issue on my . Changed the filters etc still same problem, have you found an answer with yours

Mine does it only when going round a sharp left hand hairpin corner in second gear !
