Toyota mapping - display directions on instrument cluster

Hi. I think there is some way to display basic directions on the instrument display above the steering wheel. Anyone know how to do it? Thanks

Sorry. Should have included when put in a destination using Toyota maps on the middle display. As you drive along, some way to display next turn on the display above the steering wheel.

Use the arrows on the steering while, up and down changes what is displayed and left/right the options for it. If you have the right sat nav version the map should display.

Thanks, found it. Have to have a destination in and driving. It's not too bad. This using the Toyota mapping. Not tried with Google maps yet, but don't expect it to work.

It does work with Android Auto, Google or Waze.  It took me sometime to find after I had been assured it works. 

Toyota Maps* OK and include some hot buttons, fuel, coffee, parking etc. Colours very pale and poor contrast. Speed shown in Specs zones.  Some features hard to see. User input possible but not easy if you are driving. 

Waze very clear graphics and user input easy to make. 

Google, my favourite, true satellite imagery, good dynamic alternative route  suggestions. 

*currently unavailable on my YC as it says update available then up to date in a loop.  Still waiting for a software update release from Toyota.

Apple CarPlay works fine with Apple Maps, but I can't get it to show Waze or Google maps on the front driver instrument panel, just on the main screen

Thanks. Haven't setup Android Auto yet. Nice bonus if the maps work with the driver instrument panel.
