Switch below cruise control

Can anyone tell me what the mode switch below the cruise control on the Yaris Cross is for, it has two arrows on either side. I can find nothing in the manual that describes the function of this button. I find the manual badly written and badly laid out. Please see image below

Mode is for your radio bands - FM, DAB, AM and AA.

The arrows select up or down channels in each band.

You're supposed to just press all of the buttons to find out what they do. Especially the one marked "Ejector Seats." 😉

The following is from the multimedia manual

But be very careful.  Do not press more than one button at a time and be sure to wait 0.015 seconds between successive switch actions.

In one aircraft, pressing a button and operating a switch had an effect that neither switch nor button was intended.  Analysis determined that the third event only occurred if the 2 actions were in less than 0.015 seconds.  It was decided that it was almost impossible to achieve.  It was a challenge that we all managed.

Don't think Toyota would not have such traps.  You only have to read the hacks published here to know that several unlikely switch sequences put your computer into different modes. 🙂

Maybe there is a secret combination like on the GR Yaris that puts it into Super Expert Driver mode

I know on certain marques there is a button that will activate the direction indicators. They are off by default.

I'll run for cover now.

There’s also a button on most cars that activate the invisibility cloaking device, judging by the amount of cars that pull out on me at the last minute, mines permanently on…
