1994 Camry Transmission Fluid Mistake

:help:

Hello guys, I am very new to the forum so here it goes.

I bought a 1994 Camry to use as a "train" car.

It looks bad in the outside but it runs fine.

I noticed that it is leaking transmission fluid.

Not a lot but it is noticeable in my driveway.

Anyway, I went to Auto Zone and bought

Castrol ATF+3 fluid. I asked the attendant

if this would work on my car. The person said

"sure, no problem"

I checked my fluids today and I noticed that the

transmission fluid was low. I proceeded to level

the car and add about 1/2 of quart of fluid to my car.

I noticed that it looked different, when I read the details

in the back of the bottle, it said that it wasn't recommended

for cars that needed Dexron II. DUH!!

Did I messed up my transmission now.

Should I not drive my car now.

Or is the amount too small to make a difference.

Please let me know.

thanks
