what is this switch?

can someone tell me what this switch does. It is on the roof lining just above the rear view mirror

If it's the same as my Lexus, then it's just the toggle for the alarm set for when stationary

It toggles the interior lights to come on/not when you open the doors.

The alarm switch that fourbanks is talking about is located above higher up (further towards the rear?) of the car, on the roof. You press it and it disables the interior sensors when you lock the car. It resets back to default (interior sensors on) each time you unlock the car though.
