Replacement cover clip

Can I order one of these cover clips online? [mk4 Yaris]

The dealer must have broken it when they installed the Dashcam.

It's not worth the hassle arguing with them.

Make sure they haven't busted the mounts for the cover, as some don't unscrew them and just pull them off

Well that was nice of them to do that on a new Dashcam install. If this was a Toyota dealer I wouldn't be looking to take my car anywhere near them.

It seems that you have to check everything when it comes to installs these days. Have a look under and around the dash as well just in case you find anything else that is either broken or not put back when they ran the cables. The guy that installed it didn't have a big hat and a pair of cowboy boots and a horse tied up outside by chance.🤬

That is pretty much the usual standard of service these days in many if not all  trades. Speed and greed. Because would have had taken another minute or two if the technician used the right tool and been a bit more careful.

It looks like it come complete with greasy fingerprints too, that's a good 8/10 on the IDGAF scale

I suspect that the same thing has happened to mine as it has started to vibrate and rattle against the rear window glass, and your circular cover is missing also, it’s a very feeble plastic fitting that actually acts like a rawlplug, and expands with the the screw-in. Let me know what you pay for it.

Don't let them get away with that!!

At the very least, e-mail this photo to their head office with a complaint!

I wonder if that's the £50 piece of trim my other dealer were saying they'd need to charge me for when they failed to fit my dashcams...!
