Several manufacturers produce self healing tyres - Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, Good Year and others. For instance, look at Michelin Primacy self-seal. I also saw Hankook coming out with one last year or so.

These don't have any goop inside causing imbalance. They are designed to protect against penetration of the tread by sharp objects like nails, but will not protect against sidewall damage (nor exploding supermarket food). I've yet to try self sealing tyres for myself and would be interested to hear from anyone that has.

Good luck - I've been wanting to try some for ages as I was so impressed with the PunctureSafe, but I haven't found any in normal sizes; They are only available in a very narrow range of sizes and hardly anyone stocks them, and they seem almost exclusively sized for wide and low profile tyres.

I'd written to all the major manufacturers asking them to put it in 'normal tyres (At the time 175/65r14  ) but never got a response from any of them

I once had a similar situation when my car broke down after a big grocery haul. It was sweltering outside, and I was worried sick about the food spoiling. But hey, here's where a little improvisation comes in handy! I remember grabbing a cooler from the trunk and filling it with ice packs to keep everything chilled until help arrived.

That demands a little foresight and planning 😎

In hot weather we take a cool box with blocks, then use one of the scanners as we shop and pack everything as we go round.  Only rarely is their a search.

That's where AC is great - Set it to blow into the footwell and put all the cold items there! Plus points if you have dual-zone, then your feet won't get frozen too
