I had problems starting ....  Dash lights up ,

 Turn it over and  clunk

I thought I'd try charge Battery but that was ok .

Had to get breakdown out.

He did start the Battery ..and said it's the starter motor .but didn't look 

 

My question is if starter is dead it would not start so...

 

Will it start if motor is on way out ?

Could it be a dirty / lose connection if so and it's fixed

Would you still replace the starter and if I replace the starter shoul I replace the brushes and sendonode  (spelt wrong ) as well ?

Struggling female here
