Recommended Posts

Some tyre manufacturers recommend that you replace tyres around 25,000 miles, some say 5-6 years and others every10 years. So assuming the tyres are still in good condition with no visible damage and measure well within the legal tread depth, would you keep them or change them regardless of the recommendations?

I've never had tyres that lasted more than 25k before I wore them down so I can't really comment!!

I think I'd still run them until they wore down tho', as long as their performance isn't compromised.

Has it been the car that suffered from heavy tyre wear or has it been your style of driving.

More environment - Lots of constant stop-start traffic takes a heavy toll on tyres it seems! Terrible road surfaces also not helping. My driving style is totally not to blame at all no sirree lalalala I can't hear you :whistling1: :laugh:
