Probably in Toyota cars it takes too much time to totally recharge the battery so with a low usage is more easy that battery goes flat, considering that there's a constant battery drain due to some boards that must be always on.

There are several long threads about the 12V Battery going flat and in almost all cases its lack of use that kills it, the bottom line is (cracked record time) if you are not going to use the car often dont buy a hybrid, if you do buy one be prepared to mess about charging the thing regularly to stop you worrying about it letting you down.

I disagree in part because if seldom used then a ICE will still need to be charged.

You still running lets say alarm system, smart entry system, Phone codes, radio in stanby mode ect.

We're pretty sure this is the problem.  My YC shows, a steady drain for up to a day and a half, thereafter the drains less than 0.01v.

According to another Toyota forum (referring to an Auris hybrid) the Battery drain is deliberate to keep systems in 'quick standby mode', then if the car is left for a certain time (a day and a half as you say) the systems go into an 'eco standby mode' with minimal current drain. This means that this is a software rather than hardware issue, and could be changed. Perhaps Toyota should give owners a choice in the car menu of an eco standby mode at all times. My TV has this option, which gives a slower startup but much lower standby power consumption.

Or perhaps some cars have a software bug, causing the car to stay in the quick start mode indefinitely?
