Rav4 2019+ 3rd Yr Service Interval Missed...

Hiya. I just wanted to pick your brains with regards to service intervals for the RAV4 - mines a 2019 Dynamic, AWD, Hybrid... just purchased from dealership, and as I had faith in the The Toyota Approved Car promise and being told the car passed the full checks and thought the car had full service also.  Since I spotted in the service book that the 3rd service was missed and she went 2 yrs/19k without being serviced 😞 I have no idea why but have been assured by them that the car has been fully checked over, serviced by them in March when they received it and that the delay in service will not have caused any issues.  Warrantee is OK also.

So I wanted to check with you good people, would it be ok to have not serviced a young car for an extra year??

Am I right in saying 1st Service is Minor, 2nd is Full Service, 3rd Minor, 4th Full?

She drives beautifully and out of the 4 I test drove, she was the "tightest" if you know what I mean lol

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Have you got your car registered on My Toyota? If so you can look-up its service history there and compare with what is recorded in the service book.

Then, it might be a good idea to tell us exactly which services have been recorded as being carried out. Lets us know month and year of registration together with month, year, mileage and which maintenance service was completed - minor or major.

The car should receive alternating minor and major services at intervals of 10,000 miles or 12 months whichever occurs first ...

I'll register it once the logbook arrive.  Hoping it'll show something ... the sales guy I bought the car from has checked (not sure how thoroughly) but he said that nothing came up....

Reg 06/2019.  Says serviced 03/2020  9.7k,  Serviced 03/2021  16k   Serviced 03/2023 35k  -   2022 / 25ish k missing.  So its been kept up as it should in that time.  I need to find out which were minor and major but am hoping the last one was a major IF it missed a service.  Car was owned by LExus/Toyota, it was MOTed in 2022 + 2023 so I'd be v surprised if it wasn't serviced....  hoping it was just a lapse in paperwork.  I'll hopefully give the original garage a shout and see with the sales guy to check what service they did and how the car looked (he already said the car is really great and they have no issues with it.  Hopefully true).

Will see - fingers crossed!!

Just be careful - sales people aren't always the best informed re servicing, etc. Might be worth having a chat with the service manager ....
