Hi all,

I own an Aygo from 2009. And I have the well known problem of leakage in the trunk

I wonder if the later models also have this problem.
IF they don't have this problem, then I consider buying another aygo.
When they have the samee problem, then I wil look at other makes and models.

Hope to hear from you

Grtz,
Bob

The newer models from 2014 mk2 have been much better with less water leakages.

As above, we have similar Peugeot 107 (Mk1) and 108 (Mk2) and the rear end design is completely different i.e. better and also the door seals are better as a few Mk1s leaked there as well. The common leak area on the Mk2 seems to be 3rd high level brake light, seen a few mentioned on this site, but that is small beer compared to the numerous leak points on the Mk1 rear end.

The general good news about the Mk2s is it is a better built better quality car, so they spent time fixing many issues that bugged the Mk1s, but sorting the water leaks was the main one.

As this seems to be a historic problem with this model and has been mentioned in older posts that water tests should have been carried out by the manufacturer be it Toyota or anyone involved in the joint venture Citroën etc.

Replacement of seals to resolve this is expensive and should not be the responsibility of the owner. For many this only seems to happen after the warranty has expired.

Replace the seal in the high level brake light which is the usual suspect. Will take about 10 minutes and will probably solve the problem.
