09 Yaris Wing Mirror Glass

Hello!

 

I've just brought a replacement wing mirror glass from Eurocar Parts.  Comes with the backing plate so was pleased!

 

But when fitted all I can see is the floor, it looks like the glass is to big to properly angle back enough to be useful.

 

Very annoying! Has anyone got any ideas where to get a new mirror from? I'm gonna try my local scrappy

I did see a new genuine one advertised on eBay for £20. Maybe try yam6carparts.co.uk, very good prices on genuine toyota parts. Or used on ebay/ local breaker

Halfords have a display with mirror glass for various cars in my local branch.

Only original Toyota glass new or used, anything else will be either not fitting properly or issues with views. Unless insurance pays I usually go for used ones with original glass.

What you've got is a DOOR MIRROR, WING MIRRORS were fitted to the front wings (the bits that cover the front wheels) and were far superior, as you didn't have to re-focus to see what's behind. I recall wing mirrors from the '60s (OK I'm an oldie).

Me too! I agree, wing mirrors were far better. However, there's a door mirror too.
