finally got the money sorted to fix my car sensors! but ive decided to do it myself, ordered the parts but now im unsure where the knock sensor is and how much of a pain it is, worst case scenario i can think of is if its behind a pulley, but the timing belts getting done soon, got quoted 350 to get it done at toyota, but 25 to buy the belt and 60 to get my dads mate to fit it! also if anyone has a copy of a workshop manual on cd that they fancy selling cos i know this wont be the first thing i cant find, cheers

The knock sensor is on the rear of the block near the top.... you can't miss it. Its fairly simple to remove if the car is in the air - 20 minute job max.
