Where Is The Coolant Drain On The Engine Block

I am trying to locate the coolant drain on the engine block of my 2003 Toyota Corolla. I have the Service Manual and it has a diagram, but it is poor and I still can't find the drain. Can anyone out there describe where the drain is? Is it next to something else that I might recognize?

Why on earth do you want to find the coolant drain for the block on a 2003 corolla!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

One thing is that the coolant on Toyotas made from 2002 onwards mostly have super long life coolant which dosnt need changing until 100,000 miles!!

Second thing is that it is completely sufficient enough to drain the coolant from the rad, due to this is the lowest point in the cooling system!

But if must really no it is on the back of the block underneath the exhaust manifold! Not accessable unless you have a vehicle ramp/lift etc!

Ive worked for Toyota for 5 years and have never drained coolant from the block due to my second reason above!!

Thanks for your reply! If you check the maintenance schedule in the Owner's Manual it calls for a coolant change at 2 years or 30,000 miles. My car is now 2 years old and has close to 30,000 miles. The Service Manual says to drain the radiator and the engine block and that is why I am trying to find the drain.
