Auris hybrid EGR System clean

Torque Pro has option to show EGR valve position. I used Prius 3 PID. Torque pro is cheap $3.

Should I disconnect 12v Battery, when cleaning throttle body and disconnecting various sensors? I don't want engine any check lights or errors, because I don't have OBD scanner.

Hi, 

it’s not necessary to disconnect the 12v Battery negative terminal but it is better because you will reset the ecu doing so and after putting all back together and reconnect the 12v Battery the car will start with its reset settings. Not an issue if you don’t do it.

Tony - I seem to recall you made a list of the parts (gaskets?) with part numbers that you ordered for your EGR / inlet manifold clean. I can't seem to find it ...or maybe I've been dreaming, again!?

Hi , 

I think I had a pick shared with invoice from Toyota for most of the gaskets that needs replacement, however I can’t find it right now. Usually on the first attempt of cleaning the must have replaced is the intake manifold silicone gasket, all others can be reused. Then on second clean it is good idea to replace all. There are few silicone and few metal ones. Here is the most important.
