Can only get a clear measurement when cars not been used overnight

So nothing to do with the dip stick but the settlement rate after use. I admit to having been spoilt with my Merc, you switched off, waited a few minutes and then it would give you the reading. 

What difference have you found between a hot reading and an overnight one?
