Hello Everyone, hope you are all well.
Can anyone tell me please, how Auris headlights compare to the Corollas?  I've got a 2014 Auris Icon Plus, I absolutely love it, apart from the headlights, which are weak and feeble rubbish old pants. Planning to trade Auris in for new Corolla in a couple of years' time.  Does anyone know if the headlights on the 2023 model year Corolla Icon are better than on my Auris? Thanks very much for any info, cheers, Mark

The new corolla has LED headlights, will be a lot better than halogen. Go through drive the deal for the best price.

There are other bulbs by osram, Hella, Phillips have better output.

Crazy to think people pay full price for new cars 😁

If you want Corolla, gets the one with Technology package or projector headlights not the panoramic/reflector type.   I know the  OEM Longlife Philips Halogen HIR2 is not that bright. It is 2000 hours rating and 1340 lumens.  The standard bulb (OSRAM, HELLA, Philips xtreem vision) are all 1875 lumens but only last 500 hours.  Those are legal choice.  Hella from Amazon for £7 is already a good cheap upgrade. 40% brighter than OEM bulb.

If you want something significantly brighter, brighter than any newer Corolla headlights, you need to risk yourself using a good LED. I had tried Bevinsee V45, they are literally 2-3X brighter than original halogen. Don't buy other brands unless you know and tested before and avoid V55 too (V35 is good).   It has very sharp cut-off in projector beam but we need to lower the level 1 click down from inside the cabin if we have 4 adults with us.   It will not blind others but they are not legal.  Do it on your own risk.  I still do it because the Pros is much higher than the Cons.  This Bevinsee V45 is brighter than the projector on Corolla. I had compared them one to one when I stop next to Corolla at the traffic light.   It has 3 years warranty and for €45, it is very cheap. Other brands (Morimoto, GTR Ultra 2, Apollo X7, etc) cost at least $100+shipping and tax.
