Hi I’m looking for Little help. On having the breaks changed the caliper slider was ceased. It has been heated up to loosen and I have sheared the top of the bolt off of my caliper carries slider, I can not for no love or money done one of these any where, the ones I can find are for the smaller break disc cars not this. Short of going to Toyota can anybody help a damsel in distress please.

thank you xx

Your best bet is to take it to a garage nearest to you, it doesn't need to be a dealer any garage will do and ask them to remove it for you, they might charge you a small fee but ask how much before they start, it's not a big job they might do it while you wait.

They will most likely drill it and heat it up and use a stud extractor about a 10 min job.

I would weld another bolt onto that, it would then turn out easily.

Anybody with a welding machine could do it in a jiffy.

Mechanic, welder, blacksmith etc.

Thank you we tried all the above and nothing can get it to shift, friend who Isla doing it said it you don’t get the drilling alignment right the breaks work work properly 😞

I wouldn't drill it for the reason you mentioned.  But, I find it hard to believe that welding a bolt onto it, failed to shift it.

It sheared on inside so it’s quite inside to get to

There's enough of that showing to weld onto.
