DIY Glove Box

The prices for the clip-on soft glove "boxes" seem crazy - my wife thinks she could easily make one if we could get the right size of popper to attach it. Anyone know if they're a standard size?

Are they poppers or just trim caps, pop one of the trim caps out and see what you can find, or get 4 trim caps and drill them, so they can be stitched on like a button

Edit. search for "Brass press stud", 15 mm would seem around the right size as a guess if not 12.5 mm

This has got me wondering if I could cobble together some kind of 'glovebox', using a laptop case (or something similar) and some industrial strength velcro.

Something a bit like this might do the trick...

Quoting myself yet again! I've ordered one of these laptop sleeves to use as a glove box...

It can easily be stiffened with card if needed and I've ordered a fiver's worth of 15mm popper studs too. So for £20, plus the cost of some velcro, I may have a glove box! If it doesn't work, I'll have a stiff laptop sleeve.
