As subject says - when it's hotter and hotter, driver's mirror squeaks, whistles, creaks during opening (opening). Looks like grease/vaseline is missing. Car is 1,5 years old...pretty soon for issues like this. I often pressure washed whole car...maybe it's also my fault... another task for dealer under warranty :-)

A lot of squeaks in your car… have you checked it for mice? 😆 🐭

Hehehe, good one :-) I'll tell to the dealer to check for mouses! :-)  Overall O'm happy, I have only 3 things - 2 of them I can solve by radio volume (brakes and dashboard rattling vibrations on passenger side), and for that mirror...I still can set it to not close after locking the car :-) But we have a warranty right? Let's them work!!!

Mine does it too, but I think it's dust and crap building up on the rubber seal on the edge; If I wipe both sides down that usually quietens it up for a while. Considered using some moly grease on it, but worried that would make it worse by making even more crud stick to it...!

Yeah exactly. Adding grease from outside can cause more damage later, it must be applied directly on motor's mechanism. I can do it by myself of course...but it's under warranty

If you jet wash your cars you can use pre wash Snow Foam from prokleen, these make the plastics look like new and reduces any squeaking noises from the mirrors. This what I use Pro-Kleen pH Neutral Snow Foam Pre-Wash 5L (Apple) https://amzn.eu/d/3YD6jea

You can zoom in to check on plastics 👌

The drivers mirror on mine did this. I popped the painted plastic trim cover off the mirror and sprayed some silicone spray lube down inside on the large metal spring which the mirror rotates on, which stopped the noise immediately. If you're not confident in pulling the trim off leave it to a dealer as there's a trick in knowing how much force to apply to the plastic, and in which direction!

Squeaky noise can be between plastic or gears. Silicon spray is the first choice for diagnostic but won't last long. You can spray PTFE spray. They are dry and clean, does not attract dirt.

I did with silicone wd-40 yellow cap and helped immediately. I use this for all rubber seals including boot and bonnet twice a year and I never had any issues, all nice a smooth. Noticed when washed the car with Snow Foam I recommended earlier also the side mirrors become smooth and quiet, not only shiny. 👌

Exacly, immediate help...at least for 1 year, depending on weather and car washing style :-)

My mirrors were noisy in the warm weather when retracting & opening. I sprayed some silicone into the mechanism and they are still quiet now

Exactly! The same here - warm weather, opening. Silicone is the best solution

Keep in mind this silicone spray for your suspension bushes too. Few shots at the exact location and all squeaking noises are gone immediately, no need warranty unnecessary work. Less anyone touching your cars longer will last without problems. 👍

My Icon doesn't have retracting mirrors and they don't squeak at all!
