Yaris Hybrid 2016 Replacement Driver Window Power Switch

I have the hybrid-ver, which I suspect has a faulty switch for driver window (1st image). I noticed older Yaris models used a very similar part (2nd image), which is about £20 cheaper on eBay.  Is it compatible?

Please update your profile to include the Yaris (currently showing a 2007 Aygo).

What is the issue you are having ?

Driver side window isn't working. Other buttons work as expected.

Just had the very same problem with the wife's 14 plate Yaris and it was the wiring loom on the drivers side. Main dealer said it was a common fault.

The drivers switch is wired to the motor, it does not go outside the door

first off, check the fuses (each window has its own fuse) then the power to the motor, pop the switch apart and clean up the switch contacts these are prone to moisture ingress

it's not ultra common for the wiring to break, but if it does, it is where it passes the rubber grommet, it can be repaired

How did you fix it? I'm being quoted £400 from Toyota...

All fuses seem to be good.

Where are the switch contacts? I removed the switch and notice when pushing the lever up and down, the driver's window button doesn't have a 'click' sound like the auto button. Is that normal?

you have to take the switch apart and clean the contacts

ignition on, hold the switch down and give the rubber grommet a jiggle

Thanks for reply. Managed to pinpoint the issue to a green wire break. The issue now is, I don't know which size wire it is to buy?

The thick green is the motor power feed, there is a thin green what goes from the switch to the motor (down)

Thick green is fused at 20 amps so...............

25 amp thin wall 28/0.3 or 2.0 mm²

Thanks! I had no idea and bought all amp variations from Halfords, then saw your post. They've now been returned and bought your suggested wire on Amazon instead! Thank you.

£1.00-£2 per meter there are plenty of sellers, but quality can be hit and miss

Meter and metre, both are correct just like tire and tyre
