I'm sadly selling my yaris T-sport and tbh not even sure if I'm doing the right thing..

Mileage 108k, i am the fourth owner.

Ideally i'd like it to go to someone that will appreciate the car and the work gone into it.  Not saying its the best out there, far from it, but its really quite good, i certainly have enjoyed it and it is a beautiful looking car.

So here are some pics, but any questions please fire away. I work on my cars myself and have been doing so for over 20 years and like to take pride in what i do. Whoever gets the car will be getting something well cared for, certainly by me!

A quick summary of what i have done:

  • 4 new tyres (Toyo Proxes T-1R)
  • Full service, including spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, pollen filter, engine clean, catalyst clean
  • Coolant flush and refill with Toyota coolant
  • Gearbox flush and refilled with MT90
  • New brake pads all round, all calipers cleaned and regreased.  Seals all ok, pistons move freely
  • New springs & clips rear brakes
  • New headlights
  • New horn
  • New rear wiper arm (hard to source!) and blade
  • New front Wiper Blades
  • New PU bushes on new ARB drop links
  • New front & rear metal T-sport badges
  • New rear number plate
  • New 6.5" Pioneer door Speakers
  • Damplifier soundproofing all panels, bonnet & boot lid, closed cell foam on door and panel cards
  • Derattled (as far as possible!)

Smaller things like stainless clamps and nuts in the engine bay - just make it a little nicer, cleaning of seatbelts etc, replaced heater controls with alloy dials  I've got pics of most of the things I've done and documented everything in Word.

Looking for £2500

Issues:

  • aircon needs servicing - electromagnet is fine with direct power and compressor turns
  • front wing and rear spoiler have been resprayed at some time, colour match is slightly off but the lacquer is really good so i decided against respraying either
  • scuff and shallow dent on d/s door
  • some other small scratches and scuffs - the worst is on the roof (pictured).  Could do with touching up
  • all 4 alloys in great condition save for two scuffs about 10mm long on 2 wheels.
  • Steering wheel has delaminated on RHS
  • Wear hole on d/s of the carpet - temporarily covered with black felt

The sale fell through unfortunately so its still for sale. I'd rather it goes to someone on here as opposed to dealing with ebayers

Try posting it on the "Yaris Club UK" group on Facebook. It's a pretty active group. As you say, would be a shame to let it go to a non-believer. 🙂

Thanks APS, good suggestion.  I've recently joined the Yaris T Sport group on Facebook, but the Yaris Club UK might be a good complementary group too.

Edit: just joined there and posted the details

Had a really nice lad and his dad come today to view the car. Really wanted that he take it because i could see he liked it. He called me later but offered a price that was really too low. Sadly he didn't seem able to move much. Never mind, I'm in no rush. Plus i get to enjoy it a bit longer!

I think that's for the best - You want someone who's willing to pay enough that you know they'll look after it and not just treat it as a cheap disposable runabout!

Cyker you were absolutely right, had a really nice lad come round today who bought the car. A bit of a sad day and in a way the end of an era. That said, i suppose you never really leave t sports so im sure i might be back again some time.

Farewell to the last of the T-Sports! (Sorry that was a poor attempt at a Max Max reference  )

'tis sad to see it go, but good to know it's being used and not just sitting there!
