Hi All, I am new to this group. I have recently booked a new Yaris Cross. The dealership told me that I can get updates on my car while it is still being built. Just wondering how does it work?

When you ordered the car, you should have provided an e-mail address.

Register on the Toyota website using that same e-mail address, and your car should appear under "My Vehicles" when you log in.

To log into the app, it is the same e-mail/password you registered with on the website.

I think there are two lines on this.

The MyT App will show the car as Purchased and checking will eventually show its progress.

However you can also go on to the Toyota website and armed with your order number can interrogate the date base.  Once the order starts to be processed,  and that might not be until a couple of months of your estimated delivery date, you can find estimates for future stages, build, transit, Derby, dealer etc.

At some point MyT became 'live' with the car now talking to the Toyota server and being visible on Find My Car.  This was 2-3 weeks before I took delivery and at the dealership before they told me.

PS. The details for how to interrogate the database are on this site somewhere.
