Mind if I ask which dealer? Having the issue with SOS system and DCM myself plus a constant message that my profile cannot be synced.

Mine was Toyota Sandyford. Who haven't been great with other issues so far.

Was Toyota Liffey Valley. Got the work done there. Still not happy with the car bluetooth keeps disconnecting and reconnecting all the time and have been told it’s my phone and user error.

Yeah the infotainment system has so many issues and recently a load of vulnerabilities were exposed in their platform. Some having been known to them for over a decade but they didn't do anything.

Starting to regret getting the CHR tbh.

I love my Corrola Saloon if I am been honest. Traded in a Diesel Auris and have to say it’s a massive difference. 
Ring Liffey Valley and explain the problem your having.

I have the issue with bluetooth constantly disconnecting and then reconnecting.

It’s definitely the car and not my phone as it doesn’t happen in any other vehicles I drive.

Yeah it’s very frustrating when you’re listening to music or podcast and then it disconnects I have given up on listening to music thru bluetooth now. I am been told it’s my phone and user error for the bluetooth. My car is for a service soon so will be bringing it to a different delaer and will say it to them about it.

I did have it once where it wouldn’t reconnect so just had to leave it disconnected until I could stop, switch off the engine, switch engine back on before it reconnected.

According to your profile, you have a MY23 which is the same as me.

I’ve switched to listening to music/podcasts through CarPlay and it works fine that way.

Hi anyone have any idea how this problem can be resolved correctly. I had the DCM module replaced about few weeks ago. All has been good until this morning. Turned the car on and no E-Call button lights on. No profile loading on the main scree. The DCM was replaced already and I am fed up with the car now. I am in Ireland and not the UK but looking for ideas on how to proceed.

I'm following this with interest as my TS goes in for investigation of intermittent e-call  next week. Switch on, red light, green light, green and red light, then both lights go out instead of just the red one. I then get profile failure and no live traffic data. My T then doesn't know where the car is. It doesn't do it all the time. I had thought that it was associated with being parked in the sun for extended periods, but it also fails after overnight in the garage. The biggest irritant is the lack of information available on the whole IT package. The dealer team try hard, but can't get past "computer says no" when they test it. I have had no map updates despite the map being Feb 2022. When the profile fails, I have to stop the car and fiddle with the log in screen because my profile password has uppercase letters and the on-screen keyboard does not like switching from lower case. It's a shame because I like the car, but the IT is spoiling the experience to the point where I am considering rejecting it.

Hi well my story is something similar. 
I picked up my MY23 Saloon in April and from a few weeks later I was seeing errors come up and the radio unit. Saying notifications cannot be loaded lease contact your dealer. Then the live traffic stopped working but would be working one time then the next it wouldn’t. Then I had no lights on the E-Call button. 
 

Sent it to back to the place I bought and was told thr DCM module was the source of the issue and they would replace it. Was given a loan car and all the module was replaced. Picked the car up and then had issues connecting my phone thru bluetooth. Sent it back the following day and they kept it for a few days running test. Said they could not find any faults and was putting it down to user error. Still have bluetooth problems connecting and reconnecting randomly. All my other bluetooth Speakers don’t do that with my phone. 
 

Last Friday get into the car and noticed the my profile was not loading and Sat Nav would not search for places and no lights on the E-Call. Drove to the delaer and showed them. They took it away and came back an hour later saying the DCM is fine but Toyota Europe are having sever problems and that’s why it’s not working. Didn’t believe a word of it but they stood by that story. Rang Toyota Ireland and got to speak to someone. Told them everything and they said they where having sever issues and it would be resolved. 
 

When I got my car back after the hour I had no live traffic but the green light was working and Toyota Ireland asked me to test the call button and it didn’t work nothing. Even though the light was on. Asked to restart the car and try again. Done that and the same again. No live traffic and no E-Call button working. 
Was told car would be taken back to the dealership today. But the mad thing is that it’s all working grand since Saturday so I really don’t know. Sorry for the long post.

Yup. Recognise the scenario! Of course, since booking the car in, the e-call lights have behaved themselves. My biggest gripe is that I come away from the garage with the impression that they have no idea how the IT works. All the info on the Toyota website refers to previous versions of the multimedia so I can only react to the on screen messages "contact your dealer" and now we are in a singing loop.

Is the DCM located in the shark fin or in the roof panel by the e-call switch?

This happened to me a few months ago.  Then went away.  But has come back again today.

How did you reboot the multimedia?

Press and hold the button between the volume buttons for five seconds. There is apparently a Toyota update to fix this. Mine is logged to be done and should happen OTA "sometime soon".

How did you get this logged? Was it through a Toyota dealer?

Yes. The dealer had the car for a day and played with it. When I picked it up I was told that they had contacted Toyota GB and an OTA update had been scheduled. I really don't know what to expect. The e-call is working so far and I found out tonight from the forum that Corollas with the latest multimedia can now use the new MyToyota app. Every journey is an adventure!

My e-call light is intermittent. Some trips it’s on, other times it’s not. 

I’m due a service soon so will mention it to the dealer then.

Update. I have now received a letter from Toyota (with a DVSA cross-reference) stating that my car is one of a series requiring a software update to fix the intermittent e-call failure. Apparently I don't have to contact the dealer, everything will happen OTA. Will I notice it happening? Watch this space.

I've had the letter.  But I think I've already received the update, as I no longer get the error message.

I got the same letter too. But I have never had a problem with e-call failure. At least Toyota are working on the problem that some people are getting.

After months of my e-call not working (green light off), it now appears to be fixed!

For the past week, the green e-call light has stayed on for every single journey I’ve made when previously it would only occasionally stay on.

I guess this has been fixed by the OTA update that was mentioned.

Has anyone else noticed a difference?
