Corolla 2011 1.5 petrol, gearbox query

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me when the gearbox oil should be changed. It’s done 70000 Kim’s, and there’s a slight diff. whine. I don’t want it to get worse, and it is only slight. I thought an oil change may help?

Hi, 

you can do oil change or check at least at that mileage and years. If you replace best to buy exact spec and preferably oem Toyota transmission fluid from a dealer. Make sure you don’t overfill as this is not good at all. Something a new oil can make the gearbox even noisier, but new oil is always better than old. 👍
