When I'm driving downhill for some time in charging mode using regenerative breaking the brakes on the right side always start squeaking when warm enough. If I press the brakes harder, the squeaking noise stops.Squeaking only occur during regenerative braking when the car is charging while going downhill. Is something wrong with regeneration system

Hi,

most likely you have nothing wrong with the regenerative system and it’s quite usual to get squeaking brake noises. It’s from the pads touching the discs without enough force to stop tiny vibrations. If you have any faults at least on the electrical side you will have warning messages and warning lights showing on the dashboard. Check your brake discs look in good shape , nice and shiny within any deep groves and scratches or corrosion and you are good to go.

Maybe the pads are sticking in the calipers?  I had the brakes serviced on my MK3 hybrid last week and the rear pads were sticking.  They cleaned and greased the slider pins and the brakes feel better now. MPG has also improved but I suspect that's a coincidence!

Since I replaced the discs/pads on mine, it always squeaks! So long as it stops when you release the brake pedal, it should be fine.

A more important point is: when braking relatively hard, does the car pull up straight, or does it pull?

When I press breake hard it stops in straight line doesn't pull
