Hi Guys, thanks for accepting me!  I've been the owner of a LHD 2005 Corolla Verso 1.8 VVT Automatic in Spain for the last 8 years.  Up until now, it's been trouble free for me despite accumulating 195 thousand KM.  I now have an oil leak on the left driveshaft seal.  It's been getting worse and I'd like to at least top-up the fluid so it doesn't cause any damage until I'm able to get a chance to replace it. Now, this is where the problem is.  I'm unable to find out how to top-up the automatic ATF fluid.  (I am making an assumption here that it is ATF - It's too hard to see if it's red as it's so dirty under there, but that's what I would expect to be leaking from an Auto gearbox driveshaft)

For weeks I've scoured the internet, forums etc, I've even bought (now I'm back in the UK) a Haynes manual, but it doesn't seem to even cover my model (1.4 and 1.6 only).  Everywhere I've looked, the gearbox is different from mine.  I have an auto, which also has a sequential manual option by sliding the shifter to the side.  Under the bonnet there is no filler tube or dipstick as there appears to be on the more common auto models. I have no way of knowing what the ATF level is and I'm becoming scared to drive it.  Does it have an 'electronic dipstick' perhaps which brings up a dash light? Perhaps there's a filling hole like a manual gearbox.

Here are a couple of pictures of the car and under the bonnet.  Please, is anyone able point me in the right direction.  I'd really appreciate any help.  TIA.  Steve

Verso of that ERA have an MMT Multi Mode Transmission which is effectively a Manual gearbox with automated control, the gearbox oil would be Toyota LV75w just like the manual versions. Filling would be as per the manual versions, remove fill plug on side and add fluid until it spills, then re-insert fill plug.

Thank you both for your replies.

OldCodger - That's for the 'other' auto box, that's the one in the Haynes manual I believe. But thank you for it anyway.

DevonAygo - Ah, right.  That makes a lot of sense.  The lever at the front of the gearbox which I thought looked like a clutch lever, but then thought it couldn't be because Autos don't have this type of clutch, actually is one after all.  Now I know that the filling plug is same as a manual, I'll gather the bits I need (new Oil Seal, ATF, etc) and do everything together.  One venture under the car these days is more than enough for me!  Thanks for the info.
