I got a dangerous reflection of the sun off of the Central black shiny console. I see reports on Facebook of others with the same experience.  Anyone here experience the same?

Nothing I noticed. It is fine so far.

You can try tinted glasses for driving  NOT sunglasses as they to dark.

Helps a lot when the sun is low in the sky.

Yep - I have experienced it when the sun is at a certain angle. I put a soft cloth I use for cleaning windscreen etc over the piano black section & problem solved.

Get some Polarized Sunglasses - They are smegging amazing at this time of year - They even cut down the eye-burning reflections off other cars!

I'm torn because I normally wear them around now, but it turns out they also block out my HUD because, doh, it's reflected off the windscreen!

+1 for polarised glasses with a neutral shading (grey).

You can buy film protector and it will help for reflection or carbon fiber covers. I saw couple of alternatives on AliExpress.

Since I had my cataracts sorted, the last one being about three weeks ago, I am finding the light entering my eyes seems a lot more intense than it used to be. I bought a pair of polarising sunglasses and find them brilliant. They have a slight tint, which does not affect what I am seeing, but I tend to wear them most of the time when driving and find it makes a real difference when it comes to reflections.

There are also specialist lenses for standard vision spectacles which reduce reflections and glare. For example Zeiss DriveSafe:

My wife has had the Zeiss lenses for the past 6 years or so, and she finds them pretty good.

Does your wife wear them for night driving.

Yes, she has these lenses in her standard glasses, and glare from headlights was the original reason she had them.

Just purchased new specs this week although not tinted I see how they work on night driving and  driving into low sun then decide if I want a tinted pair.

We're with Boots Opticians, but others may well have the Zeiss DriveSafe or alternatives. They do the Zeiss DriveSafe in photochromic, which she has ......
