How to adjust handbrake ?????????

its coming up to MOT time and my handbrake needs a long pull to come on fully, its more like raising a flagpole than pulling a handbrake.

Other then the long pull it works just fine. I suspect the cable its a bit stretched , its a 2009 car.

The question is where is the handbrake cable adjustment ?   I've googled extensively but not found an answer.

with the Aygo there is an adjusting nut under the trim directly behind the handbrake - undo trim, tighten nut, simple, however I am not sure if the IQ is the same or the adjustment is inside the brakes.

I can see no adjustment on the back of the brakes,

Its a 2009, 1.3 IQ with drum brakes

first job is to check the rear drums and check the shoes and self adjusters

the IQ2 is a 1.3 Manual, most had rear disks

Adjustment is via the hand brake

Found it - just tugged the centre console trim and it unclipped and came up where the adjuster nut was easy to see and get at.  Standard 10mm adjusting bolt with 10mm locking nut. All done in 2 ticks. Thanks for the reply 😀
