Reversing with a bike rack on tow bar!

Hey everyone. Just got a 2023 corolla TS GR, with a fitted towbar from the dealer. However when fitting a tow bar mounted bike rack the car won't let me reverse without stopping automatically as the car reverse sensors think I'm parked against a wall. 

I've tried turning off the parking sensors . Is there another menu???

Has it got rear cross traffic,  if so try turning it off.

It has not been wired up properly. The dealer should know better but many don’t. When wired up a connection is made that cuts out the reversing sensors if the rack is on and power plugged in. I am told it is not rocket science but seems to be to some. In fact a lot of dealers don’t fit the tow bar themselves but get another business to do it and then add a phenomenal amount to the price charged to the customer.  For doing nothing! I have heard of the phenomenal bit being in 4 figures at times.

My tow bar kit for my Aygo X arrives on Tuesday. It will not be fitted by the dealer!
