Hi guys,

Quick question - is it possible for me to fill the C60 gearbox from the top where there is a large bolt with a ball bearing type thing underneath it?  I did a mod on this a few months back which is a simple install of a further large washer which moves the ball slightly further from the contact surface underneath and results in dramatically better gear shift feel, freer and less graunchy.  It looks like there is gearbox oil sloshing around under this bolt/ball as it was wet with gearbox oil, so was wondering if I can actually fill from here as it is much, much easier than removing all the undertrays and using a syringe type thing to slowly inject it in.

I had a clutch replacement a few months back and the garage forgot to put back in my Redline MT90 oil but did put it in a container for me, so I want a quick and easy swapout - it's easy for me to drain underneath without removing any trays and then just fill from the top if possible 🙏

Just in case anyone else has this question in the future, yes it is possible to fill the gearbox from a 24mm bolt / hole on top of the C60 box (The bolt has a ball bearing that rolls when changing gear)

As long as you take note of how much oil you get out of the box and know how much should go in (I think it's 2.3l on the 6 speed) then you'll find it's much, much easier filling from the top than the 17mm on the side.
