On my Corolla (2000 SE 3 door hatchback), the rear washer jet hasn't been working for a while, and I presume it's clogged up - I have just cleaned out my front washer jets which were clogged with gunk, and they are back working (I also cleaned out the tank which really needed it). The motor is whirring when I try it, and occasionally a bit of water dribbles out. Anyway, I want to get to the washer jet but it's encased in the rear roof spoiler - is this easy enough to take off? Can anyone offer any guidance on this? Thanks.

I've managed to do this now - wasn't too difficult (in case anyone is interested - just took a bit of force to prise it away once I'd undone the three bolts with a 10mm socket/wrench - one of which was behind the light fitting, removed with same socket). There are a couple of additional plastic fixings that you can't see until it's off, that make it a bit of a struggle to remove after the bolts are out.

Anyway, the problem is definitely the nozzle/jet being blocked by gunk (I tried one of the front nozzles on there and it sprayed powerfully), so as I'm yet to find a way to open up this nozzle to get at the dirt, without breaking it, I think I'll have to order a new one.

Might be worth givng  it a blast from a brake cleaner aerosol can or similar to force the gunge out, if the typical pin/needle does not work.

Also put it in a cup filled with vinegar and leave overnight, then flush, that disolves a lot of gunge,  though if still blocked try a 50/50 mix of bleach and water, though either product may affect/discolour the materials of the jet , though we regulalry use vinegar for cleaning aquarium parts like pumps without problems.
