Hi All,    Clutch is biting all the time, even when i release in Neutral.

Only stops when i push pedal to the floor, i'm able to drive through the gears ok, except 1st gear.

No grinding or whining, wondering is it safe to drive like this? Any thoughts appreciated..

 Auris 1.4 diesel Manual

Cheers

Air in the fluid or some master or slave cylinder fault/leak? Might be worth bleeding. I'm not familiar with your model but just a general idea

Cheers Yeah could be, i had to get rear brake lines changed due to corrosion and there was air in the system after. Brought it back and they bleed it. I might change Clutch master cylinder and Slave as mechanic reckons the Gearbox needs replacing!! Over a grands worth!! But gear changes are smooth and no grinding noises either.
