Fault Code P2448

Hi everyone,a bit  new to this but can anyone help I picked my new 2018 Proace comfort from a private seller yesterday.

Today when accelerating the van went into limp mode and came up engine fault and a spanner sign on the dash.

my neighbor works for RAC and but his diognostic tool on it and it can up with P2448 fault code air inlet circuit Air flow greater than the maximum. 
Has anybody suffered similar problems or got any advice please?

Hi Rich,

This link may give you an idea of the possible cause of this fault code. You have said your neighbour works for the RAC and if he is a mechanic and not just works on the office side can he have a look at it for you. Hope this gives you a bit more of an insight to the problem.👍

Thanks for the info Bper…….there was a hole in the bottom of the intercooler looked like it was damaged from underneath.

hopefully this will solve the problem🙏

A Known issue, lower intercooler hose has a split where it has rubbed against an extrusion on the lower radiator, replace the split hose and trim the radiator extrusion

Just picked the van up…….it drives fine with no faults. Where the intercooler fits to the bumper it had broke and was leaking from the plastic bracket on the bottom of intercooler.
