Davanti tyre recommendation

If anyone is needing to replace tyres, I can recommend the Davanti as a budget brand that is actually pretty good.

I've had them on a few cars now, and they do a specific SUV tyre, the DX740 https://davanti-tyres.com/tyres/dx740/

It's quiet, grippy and the only drawback I've seen previously on other Davantis is it wears a little quicker than more expensive brands, but not by too much.  I've yet to see how the DX740 fares.

In 225/60/18 form it is £109 a corner, which to me is a bargain.

I have them on the front of my Rav now and will be using them going forward as long as I have the car.

Tyre reviews tested eight budget tyres, including the Davanti, against a premium tyre.

The budget tyres did really badly as you can see in the video below, and none were recommended.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport SUV. So much quieter than the Toyota standard issue, transformed the car on the motorway cruise. No idea about off-road.

Usually when tyres are new and within the spec according to the season they all perform well, or at least satisfactory., however when they get worn out a bit or at half most budget and some mid range tyres lose some of their properties where some of the top brands remain as good as new almost to the very end of their life. Another thing is that you will really understand how good are the tyres indeed when you get yourself into a trouble, emergency braking, higher speed unexpected turns, deep water surprises etc.  I can’t comment on this particular brand as I never heard of them before and never tried them. I have my favourite tyres and unless unavailable I won’t change them for others. They do SUV’s too and I am sure they will be excellent choice for many. https://www.atseuromaster.co.uk/tyres/goodyear/efficientgrip-2-suv/225-60-r18-100-h

They coped pretty well on the rear of my c220, in dodgy conditions.

But yes, you pays your money and you takes your choice.
