Proace City Service Warning

Hi all,

I am new to the forum, so firstly a quick hello from me. 👋

I am after some advice as I am about to potentially purchase a 2022 Toyota Proace City Icon 1.5bluehdi 100bhp.

The van has done 4400 miles since being registered in January 2022 and as far as I can see shouldn't require a service for 25,000 miles or 2 years.

With the above being the case, when I started the van a warning appeared on the dash saying 'Service over due by 1103 miles'

Can anyone advise why this might be? I really don't want to spend good money on this van and then find out it has a fault.

I would be very grateful for any responses.

4400 miles in a year is nothing it's more that likely got diluted oil due to the low miles, 25K miles between services is a joke, you want it to at least half that and do it yearly, modern diesels do not like low miles and short trips, if you are doing less than 10-15k a year, look at petrol
