Not Toyota relevant but still an amusing read. Tesla are now only making Left hand drive models (Tesla Model S and X.) and have included a special accessory for use in the UK.

How did they get that pass homologation!?   Or is being RHD not a requirement??

What's even the point of buying it here - You could probably import a LHD model from overseas for a lot cheaper!!

Homologation that's some word I've never heard it before, now where's my Greek dictionary.😅

It's the process cars have to go through to be certified for sale in the UK market, e.g. emissions compliance, certain things like fog lights, seat belts, air bags etc.

I did think being RHD was one of the requirements!!

Thats not a problem for me as I disregard purchasing any car in left hand drive format.

Tesla should sack the guy that drumed up that idea and its upper management for passing it in the first place far better to just pull out of the Right hand vehicle market.

I do wonder how much this will affect their sales - I can't imagine that many people would be willing to pay full UK dealer price for a LHD!
