Well plenty of possible things we all keep mentioning but little you can actually do to check them.

Just one last thought,  think you mean you get that noise when you are braking at a lowish speed and coming to a standstill ?

If you are travelling along at 30 -50mph and brake  for some  traffic etc.  but not to a standstill,  and then keep going , do you hear the braking noise then ?

If not, then wonder if its the problem we had, but sounding so much worse because all your brake parts are all new.  Have a look at this thread, the opening description of the problem and my post at the end,  does it seem like your problem ?

One other thing that might be worth checking is the heatshield plates behind the brake discs - They tend to get very rusty over time and whenever I had work done on the wheels or brakes on my old Mk1 Yaris they'd somehow always end up getting bent slightly and rub against the brake disc.

They shouldn’t remove anything.
I did a quick check on YouTube and found this video.

Same car, same problem. If you read the comments carefully you will notice that on more than two occasions the problem went away after replacing the rear brake cylinders, assuming these cars have rear drum brakes.
You have rear brake discs with drums and shoes for the parking brake. So here is where your problem might be: rear brake shoes dragging onto the drums.
To confirm that I will ask you to go to a quiet and safe place , drive slowly with around 10mph , put the car into N and keeping your finger onto the handbrake lever button  pull up and try to stop the car and listen for these noises. See what happens, record and share with us.
You may need only proper parking brake adjustment, or parking brake shoes replace and adjustment including all small hardware springs, clips etc. I would suggest to you , stay with us until we can be more sure if this is indeed your issue and then look for a place to do the work.

Sorry for lateness in reply tony, we went through a lot of mechanics and money and finally found the noises. The bottom slider on the carrier was ceased, even though they had been unceased, the little boot is split, filled full of grease and repaired boot and all seems to be ok, handbreak was tight and loosened that off, and it stopped noise for. Little while

now we have a bigger problem 😞 just one thing after the other.

thank you everyone for your advice and help xx

Good to hear that you have finally sorted the problem, the slider pins are often neglected during servicing, though not heard mention of them causing such noises before, though anythings possible.

The handbrake being on too tight is not uncommon, though the typical symptoms are a continual grinding sound  or the center of the wheel  becomes hot to the touch.

Your "bigger problem"   ??

The bearings are all gone in the gearbox maxing horrendous noise just want to catch a break with it xx
