The height of the cut off is actually exactly the same as with the Halogen. However, when 2 adults in the rear seats, the light orientation will be up a bit and we need to compensate for that. With the dimmer halogen, it is not too much nuisance but with this level of brightness, in coming cars can be blinded.

Please do not share this tips to people with reflector headlights. It is very bright and can endanger others. By the way, the same HIR2 halogen bulb in reflector is actually brighter than the brightest HIR2 LED in projectors at the hot spot area. However, the projector has wider and more homogeneous coverage. Projector has flatter intensity accross the horizontal coverage.

Every night get blinded by led converted headlights on cars, these are really horrible if driver does not adjust accordingly, but the standard fit led are not anything better. Too dense and too powerful light.

Yes that's right. That's why Matrix LED takes much longer time to be allowed in the USA. Theoretically it works but in practice it scattered lights everywhere especially side mirrors.

I found most of the luxury brands are in race offering extremely bright lights. It does not make sense since safety features with infrared is better without blinding others.

The LED in Corolla or Prius are not as bright as Camry or RAV4 with sprayer nozzle. However, it is still much better than Auris 2 or Yaris with halogen projector.  Older Corolla and Auris 1 halogen headlights are actually brighter than Auris 2. Maximum HIR2 bulb of 1870 lumens/2= 930 lumens on projector is just very lame. It needs at least 3000 lumens, such as in  xenon bulb befor face lift.

@AisinW may I ask what did you do with the external drivers? Have you tied them up with zip ties or just tucked them in the headlight housing. I understood that they might become very hot if kept on for several hours. Thank you

Just tuck it in deep under the bulb.  Make sure it does not hit the cooling fan of the bulb.  Nothing to be strapped, just give enough clearance and close the headlights cover too. If a bugs or insect enter the headlights, it is a headache to remove them.
