Hi, can I disable Yaris back door trunk open warning beeping?

Most safety warnings are difficult to disable, but why would you want to disable a very useful option to have??.

I must admit that would have been really handy when mine got rear-ended... The Mk4 already beeps far too much for my liking, so you can imagine how thrilled I was driving it home with it going BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! the whole way!

You wouldn’t disable it just for the possibility of some idiot rear ending your car, or would you??🤔

I think all continuous warnings should have some sort of YES I KNOW! SHUT UP! button, or at least a snooze button like on a clock radio alarm...

Well the switch is in the latch, so trip the latch with a screwdriver, assuming you just need to transport something
