I suppose this question applies to any BEV not just the bz4x. What gets done on a BEV service? When l bought my bz4x in May l also bought Toyota's 3 year service package at just over £600 - it seemed a good deal. My previous car (Mitusbishi Outlander PHEV) was usually around the £340 for its yearly service mark before any bits were added on.

Apart from checking brakes and cooling fluids what else do they do? I meant to ask the dealer but got distracted when doing the paperwork. I assume they plug it in to something and the computer will say 'No' or 'Yes'.

My 1st service won't be due until March next year as l won't be getting anywhere near 10,000 miles

Just curious

Hi,

Very likely they do check the 12v Battery, add some windscreen washer liquid, visual inspection outside and tyre tread measure, and wipers check. They run diagnostic indeed and if any stored faults comes up they will take it from there, likely to delete them first and see if they pop up again and if they will trigger warning lights so you can book visit again for further investigation. Update the software if there are any updates available.
My girlfriend was late for her first service and Hyundai service dep said not to worry but keep coming on time just in case something goes wrong to be covered by the warranty. These bev’s won’t need anything to be replaced for the first 60-100k miles or 3-8 years except brake fluid and ac regas every 2-4 years depending on manufacturer. Then will be transmission fluid change and coolant change in all systems, that’s all.

Oil Change if the BZ4 has a lubricant that needs changing.

MyT App for my YC started a countdown to the 10k service which was pretty accurate.   Obviously it didn't know about the 400 mile journey I was planning but as the legs were done so the days to service reduced.

Then a new message popped up on the dash warning me of the need to change oil. This was an specific distance to change and was sightly more than to 10k.  MyT message was a medium severity warning 7 days ago.  The car is at the garage now.

Whatever else they do, the oil change is the most important.
