If anything says slow sales, it's 0% finance

Definitely is and they are actually the most advertised cars by Toyota currently.  Perhaps if prices goes down a bit will be nice. How much will be this offer through carwow , any interested party can check. 👍

It's only over 2 years. Anything more and it's 2.9% Apr.

The Tesla Model 3 is also on zero % finance at the minute

I was in the dealership yesterday.   Each car had a different APR. RAV4 was top at 8.99.  Yaris Criss at 4.99.  Not sure if the Aygo was the same or 2.99.

Why do they mess around with Toyota contributions?  Is it to create a bigger margin between old and new posted prices?

I was told that the BZ4X and RAV4 Toyota don't allow dealers to offer any additional discounts like they can with other models.

I agree it's confusing with the APR and it's only if you sit down and compare the figures do you see that sometimes a more expensive car actually works out a similar cost to the cheaper one

We looked at the RAV4, but the finance didn't add up also taking into account the £500+ road tax.

No coincidence that both are Japanese built cars with thinner on margins taking into account increased shipping and logistics costs to the UK plus currency fluctuations on the bz4x and Rav4. The Rav 4 wouldn't get big discounts anyways because it has a big waiting list so no incentive to offer amazing deals.

Apart from the typical deals on the bz4x to boost sales(24 hour test drives, 0% pcp etc) there isn't big discounting going on

The varying pcp apr's is done to match demand, there is massive demand for the RAV4 so no reason to give low interest rates whilst bz4x which isn't meeting Toyotas sales targets is on a 'subsidized' 0% pcp deal to entice buyers rather than offer big discounts as the car is on tight on margins already due to it being a full ev made in Japan and the 71kWh+ batteries are not cheap either(state owned chinese brands can undercut Toyota as they by proxy of the ccp own the rare earth cobalt mines in central Africa so can build the batteries cheaper) .

Basically instead of big discounting Toyota vary apr rates on pcp deals to meet demands and sales targets.
