Aygo X CarPlay Brightness & Turn off CarPlay

Two questions for the experts!

Adjusting CarPlay screen brightness on the old models multimedia system (& possibly the X’s wired CarPlay screens?) was a quirky process (connect CarPlay, turn on headlights, go to Settings>Display>CarPlay).

How can you adjust the CarPlay brightness on the new 9” wireless CarPlay system? As before the settings>Display Settings>Day/Night Brightness doesn’t affect CarPlay screens.

Secondly, I have the Dashcam option installed. To connect via WiFi to the Dashcam I need to disconnect from CarPlay. Is there an easy way to disconnect CarPlay from the head unit?  Pressing the multimedia system Home button takes you back to the standard Toyota system but CarPlay remains connected so I need to go into my ‘phones WiFi settings to manually switch.

On your iPhone go settings>general>carplay>Toyota Smart Connect and toggle CarPlay’Off’ …… is one way.  Reverse to toggle back ‘On’.

There may be other ways via WiFi and/or bluetooth.
