Well... we received a letter today/yesterday about it, but I thought it was already being applied when serviced?

Strange! I guess it needs booking in...

It might have been done already, there will be a crossover of people having it done and letters going out. If you have MyT it will be on there or call any dealer and ask to check if it has been done

Thanks! We'll do that!

Just wondered if anyone else had received a recall notification for Yaris Hybrid.

The Campaign is called XGG78 Call Available and is apparently a service (as opposed to a safety) recall.

I've booked in to have this next week in the vain hope that if they are re-programming something then maybe it'll help with the RSA switching into KMH problem... but I'm not holding my breath.

Just interested to hear if anyone else has had this recall notification.

Thanks, Malcolm

Malcolm, no I haven't.  Same MY21 as yours.  It was serviced on Monday week, nothing mentioned then.

When you find the details please let us know.

Not had any notification of a recall. When I had my first service last week they informed me there was a recall for a dcm update which they did at the same time. It took about 2 hours all in.

My wife received the notification in the post yesterday morning. Luckily, the Yaris was booked in for 2nd service in the afternoon & dealer included automatically included the update with the service. I don't know what they actually did & didn't notice any difference on drive home.

  • 2 weeks later...

I had XGG78_DCM Reprogramming done 9/8/23. Also a general health check (£24.00).

I was told that XGG78 amended the Emergency contact operation, amended a Parasitic electricity drain and “other stuff.” I have never had “auxiliary Battery issues” but am pleased they have some kind of fix for those who have suffered that.

Cannot for the life of me see what Toyota say is included in this XGG78. Searched everywhere, here, Finland, Poland !

Tyre pressures were 2.3,2.1 when taken in to the garage and were 2.6,2.6 on my gauge after garage reset! Car showed same pressures. My tyre pressure gauge showed the same pressures so gauges check out. Adjusted back to 2.3/2.1. Did not do any tyre pressure reset. (to much reading to understand that!)

Now Tyre Pressures are shown in an alternate window at Power Flow in driving display - a new addition. Eco Meter and Trip Meter appear to be new additions as well. Haven’t checked everything out.

Seems to be a good update. So no issues other than Technicians not being able to adjust tyre pressures!
