Would it be possible to replace my 2007 Auris shifter selector cable by another made for a 2009-2010 Auris?

2007 Auris cable has part number 33820-02460 and the other one has part number 33820-02680:

2007:

2009-2010:

Are those things incompatible in some way? There are differences, but they seem to be minimal... My cable needs replacing, and I can only find the newer version.

Any help?

33820-02460 is the correct part, only used up to 02/09 in the NDE150 with the 5 speed

33820-02680 is for the 6F, 6 speed manual

Yes, I know, but since those two cables are very similar, I was wondering if it would be possible to use the latest one on my 2007 Auris. There are only two terminals on each end... Two for the shifter lever and two for the receiver bracket. Does 5 or 6 speed makes a difference?
